2020 Confirmation
Important Information from the
Director of Religious Education

August 9, 2020

Dear Parents,

Thank you to all of you who have sent in the information regarding Confirmation. Father Rodriguez and I are very happy that the sacrament will take place on Friday, October 2.

As I have told some of you, Confirmation will look very different this year. As you know, there will not be a Mass, just the Confirmation Rite which is approximately one hour long.

Because of COVID-19 guidelines, we have to keep attendance numbers down, so there will be two ceremonies. These will take place on Friday, October 2 at 5PM and 7PM.

Each candidate may bring two guests, along with their sponsor. Candidates will sit as a socially distanced group in the front pews. Families will sit behind the group, beginning in the eighth pew on each side (it will be marked for your convenience). If your sponsor cannot attend because of COVID or distance, it is not a problem. I can stand in for them as a proxy.

The following students will receive at 5PM: Melania Bartoczek, Ryan Bayersdorfer, Hannah Blake, Justin Caminero, Fabian Castilla, Reiner Cevallos, Peyton Collins, Sarea Elvis, Tyel Encarnacion, Alyssa Fernandez, Luisa Fernandez-Garcia, Xavier Foggie, Hubert Forsow, Andrea Fuentes-Garcia, Angel Garcia, Sherly Gomez, Christian Harrington, Kayla Hill, Declan Hughes, Andrew Israel, Dylan Keegan

The following students will receive at 7PM: Joy Lawrence-Heath, Ava Lopez, Sienna Mackie, Amala Madubuko, Chidera Madubuko, Imanol Mejia-Martinez, Melissa Merizalde, Alyssa Millan, Shade Murray, Camron Parag, Ashley Petiton, Anaya Phillip-Stoute, Christopher Priego, Maria Priego, Justin Ramos, Gregory Rodriguez, Victoria Singh, Sean Telemaque, Melanie Turner, Tyler Williams, Julissa Yepez

I have made arrangements for a photographer. He will take each candidate’s picture as they are confirmed. However, there will be no individual pictures with the Bishop after the ceremony.

I know that you all understand that we have to follow all guidelines. I will contact you about practice. Please feel free to contact me or Fr. Rodriguez if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Murphy
